A design showcasing Palawan's native wildlife for WILD Expeditions Palawan.

Palawan, often dubbed the "last ecological frontier" of the Philippines, is a pristine paradise teeming with diverse wildlife, including endangered species thriving in its lush forests and crystal-clear waters.

In this project, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with WILD Expedition Palawan on a shirt design that highlights some of the most unique and endangered wildlife found only on the island of Palawan. Ten remarkable species across different taxa were illustrated, including the Palawan Pit Viper, Palawan Flat-headed Frog, Nepenthes attenboroughii, the majestic Palawan Birdwing, the slipper orchid Paphiopedilum ciliolare, Philippine Cockatoo, Hampala lopezi, Palawan Pangolin, Balabac Mouse-deer, and Palawan Peacock-pheasant.

Designing this shirt was a fun and meaningful experience—it allowed me to express my creativity while gaining a deeper appreciation for Palawan’s incredible wildlife, a reminder of the beauty we need to celebrate and protect. Many thanks to Sir Rommel of WILD Expeditions Palawan for entrusting me with such opportunity.

Through this creative process, I aimed not only to showcase the beauty of these species, but also to ensure that the illustration sparks curiosity and inspires awareness about the urgent need to protect these irreplaceable creatures and the fragile ecosystems they inhabit.
